The West Avenue D expansion has been completed, extending Avenue D across Loop 121 and providing a new entrance to the Belton Business Park. The project was funded by the Belton EDC and awarded to Gage & Cade Construction for $2,445,445.
Amazon announced plans to open a 127,000-square-foot delivery station on Capitol Way bringing a major new logistics presence to Belton.
Belton EDC acquired two properties for future industrial development: a 62-acre tract on IH-14 west of the Belton Business Park and a 165-acre tract near IH-35 on Amity Road. The properties have been annexed into the City and zoned light industrial.
As part of the Business Expansion and Retention program, the Belton EDC coordinated with Temple College to host two Excel industry training courses. Industry employees who completed the courses received certifications from Temple College, helping strengthen the local workforce and support continued growth.
The Imagine Belton redevelopment plan made major progress in 2025, with key zoning changes approved by both Planning & Zoning and City Council, helping streamline future development opportunities.
Manufacturing Day expanded this year with approximately 150 students and five industries participating in industry tours. The event was coordinated in partnership with Belton ISD, the City of Belton, the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce, Temple College, Workforce Solutions of Central Texas, and local industry partners.
Local service providers gathered for a Utility Roundtable earlier this year, hosted by the Belton EDC, providing an opportunity to network and discuss current and future development plans.
