Belton residents and businesses alike can check out BeltonWorks.org to find restaurants, retailers and services currently open for business. The website is a collaborative effort between the Belton Economic Development Corporation and the City of Belton that will serve to promote Belton and showcase Belton businesses that are open, and any special accommodations as a result of the recent directives. As a service to the Belton business community, the business listing is offered at no cost, with a single requirement, that the business be located in the city of Belton and be open for business. Businesses are encouraged to register at BeltonWorks.org and create a listing.
“The City of Belton values its business community, and encourages people to shop local. Restaurants are not closed for business,” Mayor Grayson reminds everyone. “Their kitchens are bustling with activity as they fill orders for drive-thrus and take-out and some businesses are even offering grocery items for your convenience. Other businesses are also open and I encourage people to take advantage of these available resources to meet your needs.”
BeltonWorks.org was funded by the Belton Economic Development Corporation, and was developed in partnership with the City of Belton, in response to requests from local businesses owners to help get the word out that they were still open for business. The website was designed by Presley Design Studio, a marketing and advertising firm located in Belton. The Presley Design team worked with BEDC and City staff to design and launch an attractive, user friendly site in record time.
