Grand Central Texas Economic Development will host an Economic Development Summit on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Texas A&M University-Central Texas Bill Yowell Conference Center in Killeen.

The summit will include a presentation on Economic Development Trends Across the Country and Central Texas by Tom Stellman, CEO of TIP Strategies.

The presentation will also feature a panel of economic development professionals moderated by Charley Ayres, Texas A&M University Central Texas.  Kris Collins of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, Ginger Watkins of the Cameron Industrial Foundation, Cynthia Hernandez of Belton EDC, Tyler Robert of Killeen EDC, and Fred Welch of Copperas Cove EDC will participate on the panel.

Summit participants will include elected officials, municipal representatives, and industry stakeholders from across the region.

“The Grand Central Texas partners have worked together to market the strengths of our communities, workforce, and regional resources to site selectors and companies seeking opportunities for expansion or relocation in Texas. This event will provide valuable insight into current economic development trends while highlighting the collaborative efforts that are driving new investment and economic growth throughout Central Texas,” said Cynthia Hernandez, Belton EDC Executive Director.
