Dear Texas Small Businesses & Economic Development Partners,
Happy 2022 Small Business Week! As you know, small businesses are the driving force behind the Texas economy, helping our state lead the nation in an economic resurgence. During this week, we will celebrate the significant impact Texas small businesses have on our state's economic vitality and job creation. Thanks to small businesses, Texas has set a new record for job growth, with employment levels higher than ever before in our state's history!
We are excited to share the official proclamation and press release from Governor Greg Abbott, declaring May 2-6, 2022, Small Business Week in Texas. We also invite you to watch Governor Abbott's video.
Our state's 3 million small businesses employ nearly half of all working Texans and serve as the cornerstones of our local communities. That's why our office is focused on ensuring small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs have access to the resources they need to be successful in Texas. The Governor's Office of Small Business Assistance offers the following resources for those looking to start and grow their business in the state:

Also, be sure to follow us on social media and join in with the hashtag #SmallBizWeekTEXAS as we highlight some of our state's entrepreneurs and celebrate small business success! We also welcome you to download and utilize the Small Business Week in Texas badge on your website and other communication channels.
We look forward to celebrating with you throughout this important week—because when small businesses succeed, all Texans succeed!
