Earlier this month, the Office of the Governor announced the launch of the Texas Travel Industry Recovery Grant Program (TTIR), which began accepting applications July 6, 2022.
Due to the overwhelming response from businesses and non-profits in the travel and tourism industry, we have extended the Category 1 application window to August 7 and have pushed back the dates of the upcoming application dates for Categories 2, 3 and 4.
Please note these NEW DATES for the updated application windows for each of the respective categories as shown in the chart below. This shows the application windows for each industry category as identified by NAICS code.
If funds remain after the first four phases a fifth phase will revisit any unfunded
applications to award the remaining funds.
The TTIR Program was established to provide one-time reimbursement grants of up to $20,000 for the recovery of Texas businesses in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries that were negatively impacted due to COVID-19. These one-time grants are to reimburse eligible costs to these qualifying businesses.
The Texas Economic Development & Tourism Office continues to host webinars for each industry category in order to provide specific application information and answer questions on the program and application process.
